The Libertarian Party of San Mateo County (LPSM) is the local presence of the Libertarian Party of California (LPC). Our purpose is to assist local Libertarian candidates (in matters such as ballot access) and to engage in political and information activities within San Mateo County.
The LPSM is best known as the only organized opposition to higher taxes in San Mateo County. In the past decade we've used ballot arguments, newspaper interviews, and public appearances to block more than one billion dollars in new taxes—saving over $4000 per household.
When was the last time the local Republican or Democrat Party stood up for the little guy instead of the special interest groups?!
January through October, we meet monthly in Belmont for dinner (Visitors Welcome!) and a business meeting (members only) and confer more frequently via email.
